Come celebrate the holiday season and the Frank Capra Classic film in beautiful Seneca Falls!  Seneca Falls becomes Bedford Falls from the classic holiday film and invites everyone to join in the festivities.  With personal appearance by Karolyn Grimes who played “ZuZu” in the film.

    Each year, much reminiscent of the movie Miracle on 34th Street, the Seneca Falls Post Office issues a special post mark cancellation saying that this is indeed the real Bedford Falls. Mail out all your post cards and holiday greeting cards with this unique cancellation. Good during the festival weekend only. Seneca Falls Post Office, 38 State St.

    “IT’S A WONDERFUL QUILT” RAFFLE – WALL HANGING
    For the second year in a row, the “It’s A Wonderful Life Committee” and the “Seneca Falls It’s A Wonderful Life Museum” are raffling off a beautiful hand-made wall hanging. This year’s wall hanging is 44” x 44” and features nine square blocks containing pictures of scenes from both the movie as well as Seneca Falls in addition to familiar quotes. The drawing will be held December 15th at the Seneca Falls It’s A Wonderful Life Museum where it is currently displayed. Tickets may be purchased at the Museum and other Seneca Falls area locations for $5 each or 3 for $10. Hanging is on display at The Seneca Falls It’s A Wonderful Life Museum, 32 Fall St. .

    The George Bailey Award was created by the IDEA Center for the Voices of Humanity in 2004 to honor an individual who embodies the spirit of George Bailey by consistently contributing to the lives of his/her neighbors. The award especially seeks to recognize individuals who have not previously been recognized for their community contributions, and without whom Seneca Falls would be a very different place.
